1. Who we are

This website is operated by Nolanga Made, a South African couture atelier creating bespoke and made-to-measure bridal gowns, red carpet and Durban July looks, tailored suits and personal customizations. These terms are provided in line with section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

2. Use of this website

By using this website you agree to these terms. Content, images and designs shown are for information and inspiration and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.

3. Consultations

All work begins with a consultation, held by appointment at our Johannesburg or Durban studio or virtually. A consultation fee of R1,500 is payable online when booking and secures your appointment.

4. Quotes and pricing

• Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). "From" prices are indicative starting prices only.
• Your final quote depends on design, fabric, embellishment and timeline, and is valid for 30 days.
• We are not VAT registered; no VAT is charged on our prices.

5. Order confirmation and payment

Your order is only confirmed once the deposit is paid. Our standard payment structure is:

• 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your order and purchase fabrics;
• 30% at your first fitting;
• 20% balance before collection or delivery.

Online payments are processed securely by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.

6. Design approval and changes

Once you approve the final design, changes may affect the price and timeline. Any change will be quoted and agreed in writing before work continues.

7. Measurements and fittings

You are responsible for providing accurate measurements and attending scheduled fittings. Missed fittings or significant body changes may delay your order or incur additional costs.

8. Timelines

Allow a minimum of 3–6 months for bridal and 4–8 weeks for suits. Rush orders may be accepted at our discretion and are subject to a surcharge.

9. Handcrafted pieces

Each garment is made by hand. Slight variations in beading, embroidery, fabric dye and texture are part of the craft and are not defects.

10. Intellectual property

All designs, sketches and patterns remain the property of Nolanga Made. We may photograph completed pieces for our portfolio and social media unless you tell us in writing that you opt out.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the garment concerned. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
